I write stories full of mystery and magical possibilities! I have a passion for art, literature and history, which are all woven into my novels.

Inspired by writers of magical realism and fantasy, I also love historical biographies and discovering people’s stories from the past – their challenges and sacrifices, losses and victories – and incorporate different historical periods into my writing, along with magical or fantastical elements.

I love exploring coastlines, mountains and forests, and losing myself in nature. I’m a keen photographer and paint abstract expressionist acrylic paintings. For me, writing and painting are intertwined. They both have the power to resonate on an emotional level through colour, composition, tone and subtext, whether my palette is paint or words.

I have a Masters in Professional Writing (Distinction), a BA (Hons) in Creative Writing & Fine Art, and years of experience successfully delivering creative writing workshops.

I live and work in the city of Bath, in England, with my partner, who is a singer/songwriter.
